Week 14
So twitter, what can be said about it that hasn't already been said? If you are a fan then you are tweeting regularly, if not then you might say what's all the fuss about.
So what is all the fuss? Well it is a good way of letting your friends, families and interetested people know exactly what you are thinking or doing at any given time. Great for people who are constantly on the go, or people in the lime light or even for businesses and other organisations who may need to let their clientelle know what is going on quickly.
But one of the downfalls of Twitter is that for some people they may have no one to read their tweets and then they will wonder why they are bothering. To get the most out of Twitter you need to have a large friends base or a wide variety of intetests.
The fact that Twitter is becoming more userfriendly and talking to other soccial networking sites makes it easier to cross post over multiple social networking sites. This can be a real time saver, check out your posts on from Twitter on Facebook!

Week 13
Ok so as I said in the previous post I've been a little slack with the Learning 2.0/2.1 this year, but I have been keeping up with various computer and technology things and have maintained my blog over on LiveJournal.
One of the things that I didn't like about Blogspot when I orginally set up this blog was the limited designs that you could choose from. I'm pleased to say that the recent changes to this is all for the good! You can really let your imagintation run wild and create a blog layout that really suits YOU! The ability to really control the layout of the gadgets/widgets is also a big improvement, before the layout was fairly ridgit, but now you can have gadgets just about anywhere on your page!
At home in my personal time I tend to spend a lot of time on LiveJournal, simply because of it's communities, this is a great place to get to know others who have similar interests and find a lot of great stories to read (yes I admit it I am a fanfic junkie :oo but with so much out there and so many talented writers who wouldn't be!).
But the thing that I really enjoy is the ability to share not only your thoughts but videos, photos and so much more!
So step out, take control and share your thoughts, words and workplace!

Our Library
Yay! It has been how long since we sat down and started doing the learning 2.0 course, and we have progress here! Yes you read right we have progress. I am getting ready to teach some of our local writers some of the wonderful things that the web 2.0 can bring to them...including the wonderful world of blogging! As well as showing them some of the other wonders that the web can and will open up to them. Well here's hoping that it all works out for the best!
